OUR MINISTRY MODEL

For over a decade, our local team has served women in the sex industry right here in Greater Cincinnati. Throughout this time, we have developed a reputation for several key distinctives of our ministry model. This is because our local team has always desired to serve the women because of the love we have received from Christ! Who better to model our ministry work after than Jesus?

We serve women who are homeless, trafficked, engaged in survival sex, and facing addiction in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, particularly in areas along the I-71/I-75 corridor and within the 275 loop, where trafficking and exploitation are prevalent. Many have experienced childhood abuse, domestic violence, and systemic barriers to recovery.

Our weekly outreach allows us to connect with women, distribute hygiene kits, food, and provide crisis support. We also provide community education and awareness, and have a commitment to the development of organizational partnerships to increase cooperation and enhance services between organizations that serve similar populations (e.g. Lord’s Gym, Weightless Anchor through BLOC ministries).

Our Outreach is...

Relationship-Focused

Jesus was relational. He could have sat on a throne, but instead he chose to walk with others and intentionally pour into twelve men. We have a similar relational model, where developing long-term relationships with women is the pathway to sharing hope.

Women trapped in sexual exploitation and trafficking are often isolated from supportive relationships. We help bridge the gap, not just to services and resources, but to supportive community that will help them as they pursue freedom.

Gospel-Saturated

Jesus cared about physical pain, but was primarily focused on spiritual development. He did not ignore the realities of a broken world and healed, fed, and restored people as a means of pointing them to a spiritual reality. We help meet physical needs while also offering spiritual care and development.

The women do not have to participate in any religious services or activities to receive help. We offer help and hope, regardless of their spiritual beliefs, backgrounds, or willingness to participate in religious activities.

Compassion-Driven

Jesus was moved with compassion (Matthew 9:36). Jesus saw the crowd, knew every sin in their hearts (even the hidden ones) and knew they didn’t yet love Him. He was filled with compassion and called His disciples to pray for laborers for the harvest. We see the hardships of the women we serve and serve with compassion, not judgment.

Many of the women we encounter are hesitant to engage with formal institutions due to past trauma, distrust of authorities, or a history of program failures. By offering repeat, consistent outreach, we help break down these barriers over time through compassionate care and a loving respect. They should be treated with dignity, respect, and a genuine compassionate heart.
